From January to July 2001 I was in Clagary, Alberta, Canada. It has always been a dream for me to go abroad for a while. When my Mom and me went to the USA on holiday, we met a nice family, who invited me to stay with them. I was so happy. I never thought that I would get the chance to go to school in a different country.

Well, when we finally got all the paperwork, everything was seit. Half a year later I was on the plane Canada.

I went to Crescent Height High School in the center of Calgary. My classes were English, French, Physical Education and Drama. I had always fun at school. It completely different to Germany. Way more praxis- and project-oriented. I made it on the honor roll at my school. That means my mark average was over 80%. In English and French I even got an “Outstanding Student Certificate”

In Canada I met many very lovely people. With some of them I still have contact. My best friends there are Sarah, Aaron, Amanda and Rainy…and of course my family woh I love.

But I didn’t just see Calgary. One weekend my family and me went to Calgary Olympic Parc for Snowboarding. This was fun, but this is not my world. We went into the Rocky Mountains as well. With my family I went to Banff and when my Mom and my brother came to visit me, we went to Banff, Lake Louise and some others places. Then we were in Edminton, where one of the biggest malls in the world is located. They have an underwater wold, an amusement parc inside, a great waterparc and many many shops. With my sister’s Ringette-Team we also went to Saskatoon to watch a tournament.
